Who is responsible
Norveshowpebble Woodland Guides Ltd is responsible for personal information it handles in operating norveshowpebble.asia. Our registered office is 11 Union Street, Inverness IV1 1PP, United Kingdom; company no. SC804273. For privacy enquiries, email [email protected].
The trip-question tool
The contact-page tool processes the season, optional access concern and message in your browser to create a preview. Our page script does not submit those fields to a server, store them in localStorage or send them by email. The current preview is held in page memory while the page remains open; your browser may independently restore form fields.
Copying places the note on your device’s clipboard, subject to browser permission. Downloading saves a text file on your device. You control that copy and any later sharing. Other applications, clipboard history or device backups may handle it according to your own settings. Avoid entering confidential or sensitive information.
If you email us
When you choose to send an email, we receive your address, message and any information or attachments you include. We use this information to respond, address corrections, manage correspondence and maintain appropriate business records. Our usual lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and administering the guide. Where a legal obligation requires a record, that obligation provides the basis for the relevant processing.
Do not send payment information, passwords, cabin access codes or detailed medical information. We do not need these to discuss editorial or general planning questions. If you disclose another person’s information, ensure that you have a lawful reason to do so.
Technical information and service providers
Serving a website involves processing technical information such as an IP address, requested page and browser request details. Hosting providers may maintain operational or security logs under their service arrangements. Such information is used where necessary to deliver pages, investigate faults and protect the service, relying on legitimate interests in secure operation.
The site’s own JavaScript does not include analytics, advertising trackers or third-party embeds. Hosting and email services may process information on our behalf. We do not sell enquiry information or use it to build advertising profiles. Information may be disclosed where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Storage, retention and security
We retain correspondence only for as long as needed to address the enquiry and meet applicable record-keeping or legal requirements. Retention depends on the nature of the communication rather than an indefinite default. Technical logs follow the relevant provider’s operational retention arrangements. Contact us if you need information about a particular record.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No website or email system can guarantee complete security. Where a service provider processes information outside the United Kingdom, applicable legal safeguards are required for restricted transfers.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict processing, object to processing and receive certain information in a portable format. These rights are not absolute. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about readers.
Send requests to our contact email, describing what you need without sending identity documents in advance. We may ask for proportionate verification. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent supervisory authority. Contacting us first does not limit that right.
External sites and changes
External references take you to services with their own privacy practices. Check their notices before providing information. For browser-storage information, read our Cookies page. This notice may be updated when the guide’s processing changes; the current version is published here.
